Anne Frank House Offers Online Tour

Fifty years after openings its doors, the Anne Frank House museum has launched an online guided tour of the rooms where Anne Frank hid and wrote her diary during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam.

The tour shows what life was like hiding as a Jew on 263 Prinsengracht in Amsterdam during World War II. It shows detailed photos on the wall, the print on the bedspreads and the small kitchen where Anne and her family hid out of fear.

Anne Frank, her family, and other Jews hid together in the backrooms of a small Amsterdam apartment for two years. It was during this time that she wrote her diary. Anne died in the Bergen-Belson concentration camp in 1945 after an informant tipped-off the Nazis that she and her family had been in hiding.
