
Konstantin Dushenov, the editor-in-chief of the Russian "Russ Pravoslavnaya" newspaper, has been convicted of inciting ethnic and religious hatred.
In addition to receiving a three year sentence in a prison, Dushenov has been banned from publishing material for three years.
Russ Pravoslavnaya (Othodox Russia) is a far right newspaper focusing on support for Orthodox Christianity, Russian nationalism and Antisemitism.
Konstantin Dushenov is an outspoken anti-Semite, which he proudly boasts in his articles, books and films. He has called Judaism is the enemy of the Russian people and has stated that synagogues are places for thieves, animals and demons.
In 2007, a film created and distributed by Dushenov called "Russia With a Knife in its Back: Jewish Fascism and the Genocide of the Russian People" was put on the Federal List of Extremist Materials by the Russian Government. The film, which spawned 2 sequels, accused the Jews of controlling Russia and committing genocide against the Russian people.
After three years of legal procedures, he has been found guilty for his incitement of hatred towards the Jews.
