A neo-Nazi music festival went off without a hitch on the Gold Coast in Australia this weekend, police have said.
Sponsored by Gold Coast neo-Nazi groups Crew 38 and Blood and Honour, the Queensland chapter of the Southern Cross Hammer Skinheads distributed flyers for the white pride event, called Hammered.
For their safety, none of the advertisements identified the name of the venue, but interesting people were provided an email to contact known only as “Tattooed Aryan” who promoted the event as a week of “sun, surf and racialist music.”
According to The Birsbane Times, the Southern Cross Hammer Skinheads said their goals can be summed up by their mission statement: “We must secure the existence of our people and future for White Children.”
Music has long been a communal activity for many in the White Power community. Hate concerts and recordings have evolved into not only a means of connecting many neo-Nazis, but into a lucrative business that profits off the community’s deep hatred of others.
