What his arguments fail to recognize is the individual. Jews are individuals, as are other minorities. Every action a Jew does is not necessarily on behalf of the Jewish community. Jewish individuals were involved in the civil rights movement not always as Jewish representatives, rather as individuals who believed in the cause.
