A video of suspected Christmas Day al Qaeda bomber Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab has been released.
The video, obtained by ABC World News, shows 23-year-old Nigerian national Abdulmutallab training in Yemen. He is shown reading the Quran and ranting against Jews and Christians.
“The enemy is in your lands with their armies, the Jews and the Christians and their agents,” he said. “God said if you do not fight back, he will punish you and replace you.”
According to ABC News, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) produced the video in which Abdulmutallab is seen firing at targets, among them a Jewish star.
Abdulmutallab is facing charges for attempting to detonate a bomb hidden in his underwear on a Christmas day flight from Amsterdam to Detroit. His charges include the attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction and attempted murder. He has pled not guilty.
