Background
Final Solution 88 is a website that promotes Holocaust denial. It contains most of the literature and media about Holocaust revisionism that exists today.
The name of the website, Final Solution 88, is in itself anti-Semitic. It refers to Adolf Hitler’s Final Solution which was his strategic plan to rid Europe of all Jews. The “88” in the name is a code among neo-Nazis meant to mean “Heil Hitler” since H is the 8th letter in the alphabet.
Themes
Final Solution 88 is a Holocaust revisionist website. It provides copious amounts of material relating to Holocaust denial. It has an audio library with speeches and lectures from famous Holocaust deniers and anti-Semites, including George Rockwell, leader of the American Nazi Party, and David Duke and David Irving, well-known Holocaust revisionists and white supremacists. It has a white supremacist video library, labeled with another code, “14”, meant to mean Adolf Hitler (A= 1st letter in the alphabet). It also has a video library and picture gallery exclusively dedicated to proving that the Nazi’s death camps, used to kill 6 million Jews, were really labor camps where the Jews were paid for their efforts and were able to use facilities such as swimming pools.
It claims to not promote hate but merely present the true history, however its true white supremacist and anti-Semitic ties are found subtly throughout the site. In the Links section it is written, “I would like to pay credit to all groups who fight or help make aware the growing problems with Jews and people any non white.”
Ownership
There is no clear ownership of the website but it is updated regularly with new content and member contributions.
Scope
48 other websites link into Final Solution 88, many of which are white supremacist websites. Final Solution 88 also links to other Holocaust revisionist and white power websites.
This type of website is dangerous because unless the reader pays close attention to the anti-Semitic undercurrents it is easy to confuse what is being said here with the truth. It is easy to believe that the death camps were just labor camps with cinemas and libraries if the reader isn’t questioning the motif of the author, a white supremacist and Holocaust revisionist.
