National Alliance

Background

Natvan.com is the official website of the National Alliance, an American-based white separatist political organization. The organization was founded by William Luther Pierce, a member of the American Nazi Party, and is based in West Virginia.

Though American-based, membership is not confined by nationality. Rather people of White, European and non-Jewish ancestry are permitted and encouraged to join the organization.

Themes

The general theme of the website, like that of the organization, is anti-Semitic. It claims that Jews exert a negative influence on American society, and condemns the alleged Jewish control of the American media and entertainment industry.

These views, in addition to other racist positions, are expressed in books, leaflets and a magazine promoted by the website.

Scope

The National Alliance is among the largest neo-fascist American organizations. In 2002 the National Alliance started a white power record label called Resistance Records. The organization also publishes Resistance Magazine. Both its music and press reflects the organization’s anti-Semitic beliefs.

Given that members are geographically seperated, some outside of the United States, the website acts as an important tool to connect members.

In hopes of attracting non-English speaking Europeans, the website has been translated into German, Spanish, French, Italian, Hungarian, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Finnish, Swedish and Ukrainian.
